I was given this site by a friend of mine. I am a songwriter and I wrote a song about a movie filmed in my hometown Called 'The Rescuers' it was based on the events that took place in the early 1940's in the town of Vilna. My song is title 'Vilna' As I looked through the site I saw the picture of the church of all Saints, it is very similar to our church that is beside the river in our hometown. I can see now why they picked our town to film because of the similarities. I wrote my song 7 years ago now and am only now in the progress of starting to record it. Why now and not 7 years ago? because I feel I was supposed to wait until I met one of the most important musicians who will be playing on the song. She lost 52 family members in the holocaust & I am honoured That she has such a desire to play on my song. and also with the feed back I recieve from people who have heard the song and who remember... I only hope I can do justice for everyone who suffered such a horrific ordeal. Sincerely Suzan
