I wondered if anyone knows anything about the area south-east of bunessan near where loch assapool is - where the ruined church is and only the graveyard remains, I am trying to research this area and can't find much about it.

Just found your site and am impressed by the quality. I am a descendant of Alexander Campbell (b 1797 - Kilninian) and Catherine MacDonald (b 1806 - Kilninian) who married 23 Aug 1824 at Kilninian and emigrated to Australia on the "British King" in 1839. I am interested in finding more info on the family and the history of Mull (particulary Kilninian area). Dont know if Kilninian is covered by the Ross of Mull, but would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. Regards Paul Giddins Tropical Tasmania
