hi there my name is yvonne bruce i am 19 years old i was a premature baby i was 6 weeks early i was a verry sick baby i weighed 4 pounds the nurse's and doctors only gave me a week to live but i survied i was on a lot of machines i just recently had a premature baby he was 6 weeks early he weighed 5 pounds 5 ounces he was on only a heart monitor and a feeding tube his oxygen level was 100 percent he was born januray 31st my due date was march 16 2004 the only problem he has is a heart murmer and problems having a bowl movement he is now 3 months he is inproving so much if you have any tips or ideas of what i could do to help my son have a regular bowl movment please email me at yvonneb84@hotmail.com it will be really appreciated may god bless you and all your preemies i hope they get better

Our son 'Mikey' was a 26 weeker born on 5-12-03. He weighed 2.3 lbs and was 14 1/4 inches long. He was in the hospital for 91 days. We were able to take him home with no monitors and oxygen! He now weighs 15 lbs and is 27 inches long. He is developing normally physically and mentally. We thank God everyday for blessing us.

HI! My husband and I gave birth to our first beautiful daughter Sarah on 28/Jan/03 at 33 weeks. She weighted 5 lbs 8 oz. She was delivered by completely natural (Even though, I was in hard labour for 23 minutes and she was born.) She was a very healthy baby and has no medicine problem at all. She is now 15 months old and over 23 pounds. She is a very healthy and happy baby. God bless her and all other chidren. (Smile)

My third child, Rachel Elisabeth, was born at 25 weeks weighing 1 lb 11oz. She had a twin brother who passed in utero at 21 weeks which is why my body went into labor. She had a grade 3 IVH as well as all other challenges 25 weekers face. She slipped to 1 lb 2 oz by her third week of life but has made just about full recovery after 106 days in NICU. About to turn 2, she is an absolute joy, talking, walking,etc. Am so thankful to God for letting us know her.

My Daughter Saphire was born on Feb. 10, 1998 27 weeks Gestation. She was 2lbs 4oz 14" inch. She was ceasarian section. She stayed in the NICU for 3 months on ventilators, and a tube throught her nose that would go down to her stomach for her to feed. She is now 6yrs old, and she is a bright, loving and caring individual who loves life and everything in it. She has some learning disabilitie as wells as breathing issues (asthma) but she's a trooper and she's her to stay!
