Nathailia....
God sent me the tiniest angel, saving me from giving up all hope of life. My daughter was born 1lb. 12oz., a blessing from heaven. I have PCOS, and thought that I may never have children. I'll never forget the day that the doctor told me that I was pregnat. Tears of disbelief and joy welled form my eyes and my soul. The only thing that I've ever wanted; truly wanted in my life was gowing inside of me. Through my joy also came great fear, that my condition could lead to a miscariage. Through the grace of God my daughter is here. Tough for now she may be small, she has the biggest heart, and most fight of any one that I know. She is my life, and everyday that I have with her is a blessing.

MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN AT 30 WEEKS, THAT IS 10 WEEKS PREMATURE. SHE STAYED IN THE NICU EXACTLY TWO MONTHS. SHE WEIGHED IN AT A WHOPPING 3 LBS 2.4 OZ. SHE CAME HOME WEIGHING 6LBS 10 OZ. BEFORE I HAD MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, I DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PREMATURITY. I AM SO GLAD THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE YOU OUT THERE MAKING OTHERS AWARE OF IT. IT IS SUCH A SCARY TIME AND KNOWLEDGE MAKES THE ROLLER COASTER RIDE A LITTLE SMOOTHER. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU PREMATURE BABIES OUT THERE, GOD SEND THE ANGELS TO WATCH OVER THEM NIGHT AND DAY.

My son, Jeffrey, who is now six years old, was born three months premature, weighing one pound, thirteen ounces. He is the joy of my life. Though the doctors gave me a poor prognosis when my water broke at 24 weeks, this little man has shown that he can out step the odds. He is making straight A's in first grade and has the most witty comments and brightest mind of any child I have ever seen. His little Harry Potter glasses make him all the more intelligent looking.

Our Miracle was born at 24 weeks 5 day gestation weighing 448gms.We are told that our daughter is one of the yougest to have survived --at this weight.Today ,she is 1799gms and is off all oxygen support .She is still in NICU but homeward bound once the weight gain and bottle feeding is established.
Bottle feeding as Mum had a Kidney Transplant 23 months ago and unable to breastfeed due to the drugs she has to take on a daily basis.
We have been through the roller coaster ride of emotions from been told to prepare ourselves for the worst to our absolute joy and amazement that she has overcome the chronic lung due to 12 weeks of ventilation, survived PDA ligation at 10 days old and a severe infection which resulted in extended ventilator support. We are taking each day as it comes and beginning at long last to believe we will soon have home our little miracle. We have a story to tell and someday soon will get into words. If anyone out there wants to know more ,especially Kidney transplant recipients ,contact me .

My daughter, Zoe, was born on February 28, 2003, at 29 weeks gestation. She weighed 3 pounds, 8 ounces and was 16 inches long. Her NICU stay was 34 days long, during which time she was on the
ventilator for the first 12 hours of life, had jaundice, which landed her under the bili lights for a few days, mild retinopathy and reflux that both resolved by her due date, a blocked tear duct and a handful of spells.
Today she's 10 months actual age and sitting, rolling both ways, "talking" (ok, babbling, really) and on the verge of starting to crawl. She's a big girl at 22 pounds and 28 inches who is very happy and extraordinarily charming! :)

My baby was born at 25 weeks. After a pregnancy filled with complications and 6 weeks in bed in the hospital my water broke and as infections set in she arrived. Although it was quite scary and touch and go for awhile. She was on a ventilator for 3 months and in the NICU for a total of 4 months and finally came home. She was born on April 14th at 1 lb, 11 oz. She is now 8 months old (5 months corrected) and she weights 11 lbs 14 oz. She has an ng tube and does not suck a bottle. She is a slow feeder and that is the only problem she has aside from some nasty reflux problems. Other than that she is a perfect little girl and off the oxygen!
Thank the lord for my little miracle!!!
