I am so happy so read everyones messages of hope on this site. My baby girl was born at 29 weeks weighing 2lb 1oz, as I had pre-eclampsia. She was in the special care unit for 8 weeks and came home weighing 4lb 10oz. She is now 7 months old and every day I look at her and am amazed at the start she had in life and how healthy and wonderful she is today. xx

Aliyah was born on Feb 28th 2002. I had preeclampsia. She weigh only 1lb 4ozs. She stayed at Iowa Hospital for almost 4 months before coming home on oxygen on June 19 2002. Six week later, she came off the oxygen and by end of August she weighs 11 lbs. What my husband and I went trough was hard but watching her going through all the pain was even harder. The doctors and nurses were great and GOD help us and a miracle help us all. I hope she continues to be healthy and grown normally. I pray for the other and future preemie to survive and do well as well.

5 years ago today my son had been home from the hospital for a little less than a month. Born at 25 weeks gestation and weighing 1lb. 14oz., he spent almost 3 months in the hospital. Today I just left him for his first day of Kindergarten. He is a big boy now. He was ready for this, I wasn't. I cried, he didn't. There was a time I thought I would never get to see him grow up. Now I am turning him loose and watching it happen. I am scared, happy, excited, and just wanted to say Hi to everyone, and to say, yes, our preemies do grow up too!!!!

We had a micropremmie weighing only 15 1/2 oz....not even a pound. Our baby was born April 16, 2002. She came home July 23, 2002. It was a long process in the NICU but it was well worth it. We thank God and ask him to continually bless the babies to be great men and women of the Lord. Used for his glory. Keep all of them safe from all hurt, harm and danger. Let them know it was Jesus that brought them from a mighty long way. We pray that they will give the Lord all the glory that he is worthy to be praised. Amen....Our little girl is now 8lbs.+. She didn't have to have any surgeries. PLEASE GIVE YOUR BABIES BACK TO THE LORD....IMPORTANT..READ 1 SAMUEL 1:27,28 GOD BLESS YOU ALL....

Our daughter Bethany Charlotte Hudson was born on 07/06/02 at 25wks and 5 days gestation, weighing just 1lb 2oz. She is now 13 wks old, 2lb 10oz and doing well, after a bit of a rough start. We thank God for every day we have with our little girl, and hope she continues to do well and grow. We hope that this message will give hope to some other parents of very early babies, and our love and good wishes are with all parents of preemies out there - just remember, if they have fought hard enough to make it as far as the NICU in one piece, they will continue to fight as hard as they possibly can!

Jacob was born on June 21st at 28 weeks gestation. It was an emergency C-section, and needless to say it freaked us out and worried us greatly. He was so tiny! Only 1lb 10oz. But he has had some of the best care in the country, and we have been blessed in that he has managed to dodge nearly every bullet prematurity can throw at a little guy. We should be able to take him home this week! Come see his site and celebrate with us at http://jacobshrieves.150m.com
