I went into early labor at 21 weeks and was able to hold my son in till 24weeks. He had a hard fight with constant infections,PDA, hernias in both sides of his scrotum, and being on the ventulator for 6 weeks. But he's almost 14 months old now starting to walk, and has only mild health problems. He has stage 2 ROP but his eye doctor said it won't affect his vison, his BPD resulted in mild asthma, and we hit the growth chart last week at 19lbs 8oz. Its only the 10th percentile but we hit it. I guess what I wanted to say to all the parents of these little miricals is that things will get better, as we've all found out. Just keep your head high and keep faith. God bless!!

Our daughter was born August 4, 2000. She was born at 28 weeks and weighed 1 pound 15 ounces. She was breathing on her own within 4 days. After 2 months in NICU, mainly to gain weight, she came home. She is on an apnea monitor at night, only, and is weighing close to 11 pounds. We are so blessed to have such a healthy baby. We thank God daily for his healing hand, and know that He continues to watch over our precious daughter.

Our daughter Milly was born at 24 weeks on 3 December 1999, she was due to be born at the end of March 2000. She weighed 1lb 13oz, in the early days it was one step forward and one (or sometimes even two) back but after 77 days in NICU she came home and is now 13 months,a happy, healthy, wonderful baby girl into every thing and weighing 19lb 4oz we call her a giant although people remind us she's small but not to us. If you would like to swap stories or moments email me, love Alex.

My daugther, Brenna, was born November 15th 1999. She was due in March. She was a 24 week preemie weighing 1 pound 8 ounces (685 grams) and was 12 1/4 inches long. She is 13 months old now and just got her first tooth. She is walking with the assistance of the furniture and gets into everything. She is a miracle baby. She had a twin sister, Hattie who was born at 22 1/2 weeks who did not survive. It's strange that you can miss someone so much you never really got to know. I often wonder what Brenna will feel once she knows and understands what happened to her sister. But on a happier note, Brenna is doing very well especially for being so early. She is our whole world and we thank God everyday that she is here with us. She spent 97 days in the NICU.

MY SON WAS BORN ON AUGUST 13, 2000. HIS DUE DATE WAS NOVEMBER 13, 2000. HE WEIGHED 2LBS. 11OZ. AND WAS 15 1/2IN. LONG. HE WAS IN THE NICU FOR 47 DAYS. NOW HE HAS BEEN HOME FOR THREE MONTHS NOW AND HE WEIGHS 8LBS. 8OZ. AND IS 21 1/2IN. LONG. IT'S LIKE EVERY TIME HE SLEEPS I SIT AND WATCH AND BE AMAZED AT ALL THE THINGS HE OVERCAME LIKE BRADYS, APNEA, BLOOD TRASNFUSION, RESPIRATORS, AND NEEDLES AND JUST THANK GOD FOR MY LITTLE ANGEL AND KISS HIM ALL THE TIME BECAUSE IT'S A MIRACLE THAT HE'S HERE WITH NO COMPLICATIONS TODAY. SO IF YOU HAVE A PREEMIE AND THINGS LOOK BAD JUST REMEBER TO PRAY BECAUSE IT CHANGES THINGS.
