Our Journey to have a baby started off on a roller coaster ride, 7 failed IUI's and a succesful IVF, got to know we were having twins, and 30 weeks later ( after 3 months of strict bed rest and steroids and injections), i had a PROM ( pre-mature rupture of Membranes) and my boys, Arjun ( 2.5 lbs) and Aaryan( 3 .1 lbs) were born! the first day i saw them all buried deep under tubes in an incubator, my world collapsed around me and i cried for days together! but thanks to the NICU nurses ( i call them my boy's angels) constant care and attention, my boys started showing a tremendous imrpovement. we had an emotional breakdown ( of joy) when the babies started breathing on their own, they could keep their body temp and every preemie milestone that they cleared.
its a journey that can never be forgotten even with the shades of time!
i thank god and pray that every mom get the strenght and support around her during these hard times.

Congrats to all the new parents...I am mom to 2 preemie boys. My oldest born at 33 wks weighing 5 lbs 2 oz and my youngest born at 27 wks weighing 1 lbs 14 oz. They are both doing well. Quandez is 10 and Airee is 7 months or 4 months adjusted and about 11 lbs. Quandez spent 12 days in the NICU and Airee 55 days! Airee came home at 35 wks gestation weighing 4 lbs 8 oz. Quandez came home at 36 wks gestation weighing 5 lbs.

Having an early baby is very hard on both parents especially the mother! We had our little Mckinley at 27 weeks and he weighed 3 lbs 2 ozs 15in long. I remember having severe stomach pains walking in a local store in my hometown and the pain being so bad I literally cried like a baby! I timed everytime I had pain and it was every 3 or so minutes. Luckly I made it to the ER when I did because wen I made it there I was completely dilated! I was so scared!! My husband made it right after I went in for emergency surgery. Now as we approached Mckinley's 1st birthday he is a happy and very much healthy 24 pounder! We are truly blessed!
