I was 15 1/2 years old when,I had my first child he was a Miracle Baby Boy.He was also born at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville N.C.I would like to share a sweet little saying about my Miracle Baby. EVERYONE CALLS YOU A MIRCALE BABY,A LITTLE BOY WHO HAS COME A LONG WAY.NO ONE KNEW IF YOU WOULD PULL THROUGH,BUT THERE'S A REASON GOD LET YOU STAY.YOU WERE JUST A POUND AND TWELVE OUNCES BUT OVER TIME YOU'VE IMPROVED SO MUCH. TO ME YOU'VE BROUGHT JOY AND HAPPINESS BUT TO MY HEART A WARMING TOUCH. I SEE YOU EVERYDAY AND YOUR SMILE IS FILLED WITH LOVE. AND EVERY NIGHT I THANK THE MAN UP ABOVE. ITS SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY YOU WERE BORN, AND I WAS HOLDING YOU IN THE PALM OF MY HAND.NOW YOU'RE WALKING, TRYING TO TALK AND OUT PLAYING IN THE SAND I SIT AND LOOK BACK ON EVERY STEP AND THINK TO MYSELF THAT YOU HAVE HAD A LOT OF HELP SOMETIME I THINK ABOUT ALL YOU'VE BEEN THROUGH AND I WONDER WHAT IF YOU HADN'T MADE IT OUT HOWEVER I KNEW WE HAD GOD ON OUR SIDE,SO THERE WAS NO DOUBT IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE YOU STARTED SHOWING POSITIVE SIGNS OF STRENGTH AND OUR DREAMS CAME TRUE BECAUSE WE KNEW THROUGH ALL THE OBSTACLES GOD WAS WITH YOU TO THIS DAY I STILL GET ON MY KNEES AND PRAY THAT YOU'LL LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE EACH AND EVERYDAY YOU'RE GETTING BIGGER NOW BUT YOU'RE STILL OUR LITTLE MIRACLE AND GOD HAS PLANS FOR YOU AND IF YOU STICK WITH HIM,HE'LL ALWAYS BRING YOU THROUGH. HE HAS BROUGHT YOU THIS FAR AND THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO SAY I'M PROUD AND I AM HAPPY YOU WERE ABLE TO SEE YOUR FIRST HOMECOMING DAY! MAY GOD BLESS YOU JAHQUAE JA'MOND MOORE 11-26-1999

I would like to celebrate with you my premie turning 18 last April 2001. He entered college this fall and is doing "okay" My premie was born at 26 weeks weighing in at 3lbs. At 21 days old he received a intercranal vetricular shunt. I'm letting all you new moms know there is joy and laughter, ups and downs of having a premie and I wouldn't change a thing. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me

Hello My name Kendra I am now a healthy twenty year old but looking back at all this stuff about preemies brings back alot of memories for me. I was a preemie as well. Born three months early weighing in at one pound eight onces. I decieded to write on here because I think that it's important for parents of preemies not to give up although they are small they are fighters. I am a perfect example of what love and god can do!! My daughter was born on October 25th, 1993. She weighed 1pd, 11oz. and was 13 inches long. She many problems at first and now she is eight years in second grade. We have come a long way from the NICU and she teaches me new things everyday!! Hope, prayers and hugs to the parents of preemies. I know it is hard to have a baby in the NICU but it will soon get better with time and healing. Sometimes people never know why things like this happen but remember this: The Serenity Prayer, God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can: and the wisdom to know the difference.

If people ask how many children I have, I say two; but really it's four! Chelsea is now 3 1/2 years old and wonderful. She was born at 34 wks weighing 5.5lbs. She stayed in the hospital for four wks. Stephanie was born March 3, 1999 at 25 wks weighing 1 pound 7 oz. She passed away at 5 days. Brittney is almost eighteen months and was born at 30 wks weighing 3.3lbs. She too is doing wonderfully. My son Anthony was born June 10, 2001 at 26 wks weighing 1 pound 9oz. He passed away the next day. I love my daughters dearly and cherish every day with them but part of me still aches for the children I could not keep.
