The entire story is I hav factor five liden & the lupus anti. I had to take blood thinner shot twice a day the entire time. I was in out of the hositpal with severe headaches. The whole time I was having severe rib pains they could never explain to me why, "it is just growing pains." By the way I only gained one pound my entire preg. Boy where they wrong I went to a different hositpal then usually because I was suppose to get fluids. I had HELLP and they said that if I would have wait another half hour I would have died. They aired me to St. Louis then there was Mason.

My son Mason, was born @ 25 weeks 1.4lbs and 12ins long, Aug 29,2006. He is coming home this weekend finally Feb. 24,2007. It has been a long journey. He is coming home on oxygen, g-button or mic-key button,blood sugar monitor, and some other monitors. It just going to take time. He is my miracle and the my first. Rebecca

I have a 14 yr. old daughter that was born 3 months early weighing 1lb and 9oz. Today she is a very active teenager waiting to turn 15 to get her drivers permit!!!!!! She had no problems at birth,other than breathing on her own. She is doing great

this hospital I mentioned Normandy Hospital was not set up for a premmie like myself.. they wanted to close a major arterial hwy. to have me go to a childrens hospital in saint louis.. but could not transport even by helicopter.. it is due to a nurse who stayed with me for 16 hours a day for those most trying weeks.. I am alive today.. thanks to her.. and all who care for us.. david glenn

I was a preemie.. born sept 28, 1961, at Normandy Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.. I was 2 lbs 2 ozs. and my length was approx. 14.5 inches. I was in a hospital incubator til early december, and went home on December 24, 1961 weighing in at 6 lbs.. approx. I was featured in a Saint Louis newspaper. "2 lb 2 ozs at birth, Goes Home for Christmas" St. Louis Globe Democrat. Dec. 25 1961, it wasnt easy for me.. my physical development was very slow.. I was several years behind other kids physically.. and as I grew developed a very short left leg.. 2 inches short.. back problems with this.. and had wolff parkinson white and a mild palsy on my left side.. it was somewhat challenging.. but as a miracle baby... I am pretty lucky.. things are much better for the little ones today.. I hope that every parent out there knows their little miracle.. is in my prayers.. david glenn

I've got 2 kids who were both premature. My daughter was born at 35 weeks and 6 days. She weighed 5lbs 11ozs. She's now a health 4+ year old. She had acid reflux for the 1st few months of her life but began to put on weight as soon as she started eating solids. When she was at playschool,she was known as the bright button. She could spell her name by the age of 2,infact she could spell alot for a 2 year old. She is know at school full time and is doing very well and people comment on how intellegent she is.My son was born at 33 weeks and 4 days he weighed 4lbs 12ozs. He was treated for jaundice and was tube fed for a few weeks. Never had acid reflux and now weights over 19lbs at 11 months. Hopefully he wont have any long term disabilities but its too early to tell. He is a happy little chap and he seems to be growing normally. I am now nearly 27 weeks pregnant and I hope to god that I carry this baby for as long as poss. I feel very lucky to have 2 healthy kids and I hope this one would follow suit and be born way after the 30th week and healthy. Here is to keeping everything crossed X
