My son is a former 26 weeker, was born 2 lbs and 13oz. Spent 5 months in NICU with various problems including PDA,PBP/CLD,ROP- stage 2 ,and collapsed right lung, amongst other things. He has now had 7 surgeries total. Was trached at 3 1/2 months because they believed he was going to be vent dependent for 6 months to a year. He came off vent and CPAP after a month and is now at home with a trach mask and 28% O2 at night. He spends all day with a PMV and is doing great !

Hello,
My name is Samantha. I was born a month early. 35 weeks gestation. At 4lbs 9oz. 17in. I was lucky enough to leave the hospital only a week after being born. I was only in the incubator for 6 hours because of the threat of jaundice. The only problems I have now are that I have glasses and ADD. I am a happy teenager now and drive around everywhere. I love reading about preemies and infants. Cant wait to get older and work in a NICU.

During my 2 months on bedrest, I lived on stayed encouraged by other successful preemie stories on the web. They gave me hope. I hope to do the same for someone else out there.

I saw a documentary called "little man" about a premature baby that could be very helpful to those who have a premature child! It's absolutely touching and educational! The only place I've seen it for sale is at thier website: www.littlemanthemovie.com or you can catch it on Showtime.

Hi-Im Billie i was born on August 29, 1984 I weighed 1 pound 11 ounces i was 5 months early-I should have been born in January. Every winter I get an ear inflection-becasue of that ear infection i can hear in my left ear which sucks big time. I just wanted to tell some of my story. thanks
