Me and my boyfriend was so happy when we found out that we were going to have a baby. I did all I could to stay healty I aint all the right foods, srop smoking, and I did not touch any alchol. One night I was have to vomit a lot and was having minor pains in my stomach. When I got to the hopital the doctors told me that my blood pressure was though the roof and I had what they call sever preeclamsa. I have never had high blood pressure in my life. They told me that if they didnt deliver my baby me and here could die. My little pooh bear Alanna Nicole was born 2 months early on March 15, 2006. We was 1 lbs 5 oz at birth. She is still in the NICU weighing 5 lbs 1 oz. She is doing good but might have to have a minor surgery for her acid reflux.

What a wonderful website. My water broke at 26 weeks, and little Noah was born at 29 weeks. A big surprise, as my daughter Madison, was born a healthy 8lbs 4oz and 21 inches long, 6 years prior. He was a good size at 3lbs 9oz, but has had his share of obstacles. He spent 56 days in the NICU, and was ventilated for approximately 4 weeks total. He had a grade III and IV IVH, and had a shunt placed at 3 weeks. On his head ultrasound at 30 days, the doctor was amazed that they could not find the grade IV bleed, their words were "we would definitely have to downgrade it", and best of all NO PVL--God is good. Noah was able to come home on 4-21, 4 days prior he had another head ultrasound, again NO PVL-blessings from above. We currently go to the eye doctor to check for ROP, his right eye is nearly perfect, his left eye is slowing correcting itself. The ride in the NICU is a rollercoaster. Without the support of family, friends, and a wonderful supportive husband, it would of been so very hard. However, the most important thing that kept me going is knowing that God is ultimately in control, place your faith and trust in Him, He won't let you down. Where the doctors leave off, God takes over. He will carry you in your hard times and place you back on your feet, when He feels the time is right. God Bless the doctors and nurses at Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland. To those special babies and parents who are experiencing life in the NICU right now, or have in the past. I pray for all of you every nite. God bless all of you----Psalm 46:10.
