My baby girl, Charlise Marie was born 9-14-00 at 32 weeks gestation. She was 2lbs 1oz at birth. Today she is 2lbs 15oz and gaining every day. She is a blessing from above! She has been in NICU for almost 4 weeks now. Keep her in your prayers, please.

Esther Alperin graduated from a open trachea when she 10 years old thanks to doctor Keller and many others from Columbia Presbytarian Hospital. She was born 22 weeks into gestation and fits into the group called premature miracle baby, and she is truly a miracle. Esther wrote a book called "I Thought I Was The Only One". We will try to get a copy for your site. Esther needs more friends with whom she can share her experiences. Many families had complications with their premies, we too had many hard times, but our child is proof that premies too can grow up to be normal, and healthy.

My daughter Marissa was born on December 1, 1999 at 28 weeks. She was 2lbs 2oz and 13 1/4" long. I knew I had a fighter from day one and at only a week old she turned herself over in her incubator. She is now 9 months old and the happiest baby! She is petite and just beautiful to us.

My first son Jacobb was born at 34 weeks from the cause of high blood pressure, and is now 2 and doing well he only spent 1 week in neo. My 2nd son Joseph was our true miricale my water broke at 22 weeeks and was hopitalized for 9 weeks before having him. After every doctor telling us he was not going to live I new I was not about to give up at 32 weeks, the Amino I had that morning showed unmaturied lungs. I was in labor 17 hours and had a 2lb 15oz baby who was crying, I new we beat the odds. He spent 31 days in neo before coming home at 3 lbs he is now 10lbs at 4 months
