Hi Collins, Oh, I am sorry for not writing back and saying thank you so much for that photo of Johnny. I very, very much appreciate your doing so! A wonderful photo! Here is something I revceived and how sad it is. When we went to school there was the typical peer junk, but nothing like today. We couldnt even wear dresses/skirts that came a few inches above our knees. Oh Lord, Lord...please help us. THE NEW SCHOOL PRAYER THIS WAS WRITTEN BY A TEEN IN BAGDAD, ARIZONA NOW I SIT ME DOWN IN SCHOOL WHERE PRAYING IS AGAINST THE RULE FOR THIS GREAT NATION UNDER GOD FINDS MENTION OF HIM VERY ODD IF SCRIPTURE NOW THE CLASS RECITES, IT VIOLATES THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND ANYTIME MY HEAD I BOW BECOMES A FEDERAL MATTER NOW OUR HAIR CAN BE PURPLE, ORANGE OR GREEN, THAT'S NO OFFENCE; IT'S A FREEDOM SCENE. THE LAW IS SPECIFIC, THE LAW IS PRECISE. PRAYERS SPOKEN ALOUD ARE A SERIOUS VICE. FOR PRAYING IN A PUBLIC HALL MIGHT OFFEND SOMEONE WITH NO FAITH AT ALL. IN SILENCE ALONE WE MUST MEDITATE, GOD'S NAME IS PROHIBITED BY THE STATE. WE'RE ALLOWED TO CUSS AND DRESS LIKE FREAKS, AND PIERCE OUR NOSES, TONGUES AND CHEEKS. THEY'VE OUTLAWED GUNS, BUT FIRST THE BIBLE. TO QUOTE THE GOOD BOOK MAKES ME LIABLE. WE CAN ELECT A PREGNANT SENIOR QUEEN, AND THE (UNWED DADDY), OUR SENIOR KING. IT'S INAPPROPRIATE TO TEACH RIGHT FROM WRONG, WE'RE TAUGHT THAT SUCH JUDGMENTS DO NOT BELONG. WE CAN GET OUR CONDOMS AND BIRTH CONTROLS, STUDY WITCHCRAFT, VAMPIRES AND TOTEM POLES. BUT THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED, NO WORD OF GOD MUST REACH THIS CROWD. IT'S SCARY HERE I MUST CONFESS, WHEN CHAOS REIGNS THE SCHOOL'S A MESS. SO, LORD THIS SILENT PLEA I MAKE: SHOULD I BE SHOT MY SOUL PLEASE TAKE! AMEN IF YOU AREN'T ASHAMED TO DO THIS, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS........ JESUS SAID, "IF YOU ARE ASHAMED OF ME, I WILL BE ASHAMED OF YOU BEFORE MY FATHER." We have got to make our society/schools safer for our children. What a sad state things have become. So many have forgotten that one of the primary roles we have as parents is to TEACH OUR CHILDREN HOW TO LOVE.

Talk about weird. Sunday nite I was reading some of the notes posted in here & started thinking about Phyllis Spikes & her parents (even dreamed that night about all of us in Pahokee). Monday evening I was online & hark--Phyllis IM me...It has been almost 31 years since we last talked..It was great chatting & remembering the "old days". Thanks Phyllis I needed that!! Collins, it will take me many moons to convert my Yankee man--but I am certainly gonna give it the old PHS try!! I take alot of ragging because we southerners don't have a "g" in our alphabet! My Yankee says he didn't know the letter "B" had so many e's in it--lol Hope all is well with each of you--Hey Susan, did ya'll find Tom Ellison for the class reunion? Also I agree about Father Pat-he doesn't return e-mail sent to him...Maybe he praying alot for all of us...Catch ya'll latta!!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Collins is right. What's wrong with all these folks? The old folks seem to have more energy than the younger ones. Susan, you have done a great job. It's been great to hear from so many people. I just talked to Debbie Gross. Haven't seen her in over 30yrs. Let's get this site jammin. Collins, you're a good one to get everyone motivated. Hi everyone, Thanks so much Collins for all your input to the guestbook...I appreciate it! Well, not much happening around ole Pahokee. I spoke with Mrs. Parrish last week and Debbie is doing fine in OK and Sylvia and Bob are in CA. Prayer and thoughts are needed for Coach Thompson! He is undergoing treatment for a liver disorder and it is has the effects of Chemo. It has been deteremined that it is something he picked up from Coaching...blood related. David, your are in my thoughts dailey ! Keep up the high spirits...that is as important as anything. Glad to hear from you Gretchen and Jackie and you Shirley people. Lone live the Confederacy ! HA...Collins, we are all counting on you to convert your Yankee women to the ways of the South. Johnny B? Who are you! HEY class of 70 ..where are you!!
