Bless you for all your hard work on your pages! I am begining an Animal Ministry at our church (UMC) and I am researching Animal Blessings and other related things to connect the spiritual with animals and mostly pets. Your site has so much of what I was looking for! Thank you for it.

Last evening, my big cat Higgins had to be put to sleep after developing kidney disease. He died very peacefully; I was there with him to tell him how much I loved him and that he had nothing to fear. I found your website and have drawn comfort from the words I read there. Thank you.

I just stumbled across your site [linked by theologic.com]. It's bedtime and I have to tear myself away, but I will return and read all of it. You see, I have "just a few" cats that share my life and my house. I like dogs, too, and have had a few over the course of my life, but now I work long hours and cannot care for a dog adequately. Besides, many of my cats are refugees from a bad experience with a dog, so it would probably start WWWIII to bring a dog into the house now. Two friends and I started an animal rescue organization in my town. I am no longer on the board, but I still participate and am very supportive. I'm Orthodox, too (OCA). There is no Orthodox church in my town, so I [and other Orthodox in this town] travel to nearby Columbus to church. You can send me email if you like. I always enjoy hearing from other animal lovers. Incidentally, one of our priests, Fr. Mark, has taken in several cats and three dogs-- all rescue animals. He's all right. L. Lindley
