Dear Author of this site,
I found your site on St. Luke's church site. I am also
starting to attend there and hope to be chrismated
this summer. Your site was a comfort to me. I lost a
pet last week, my guinea pig, Lilo. It was good to find
this wisdom! God bless you, Else

Your website has been a blessing. I have a 12 year
old sheltie mix who is in the late stages of kidney
failure. We nearly lost her a week ago, but it
appears now that he end is drawing new. I have
been very troubled by the belief that animals have
no soul, I just simply refused to believe that, I have
seen so much unconditional love come from my
pets. I could never believe that God would create a
creature to give and receive love to be obliterated
when they die.
Again, you site has been a great blessing as I sit
here with my faithful one laying at my feet. I know
that when her end comes, it will not "the end" but
she will be in eternity with us all.

Christ is risen! Thank you for such a great celebration of God's creation and all creatures. Your site glorifies the blessed ecumene. For those interested, here is an Orthodox prayer I wrote for creatures: https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/stories/Z-APRAYERFORCREATURESALLC-3455.htm.

I will again one day explain the question you had about if the animals are the same in heaven, but you really need to fix that box, I simply missed it and when it went back all was eraced. Very exasperating.....If I could have simply went back and hit the small unnoticed square, it would bennifited all.......

The pages were interesting, and I thank you for your research. Just a note on Catholic "attitudes", at the Catholic school where I enrolled my children, pets were blessed on St. Francis's day. We brought out our little gerbils that day, especially because the kids were so insistent. Now we try to make it a yearly event with our little dog. A companion's a companion...It's hard to believe an animal has no soul, especially with the so obvious love and affection they can demonstrate. Thanks again for your work. -DRF
