Thanks for addressing this issue. We love our little dog and know that although she isn't human, she is special to God. My Dad has always been someone who truly loves his animals (as a farmer has also butchered animals for food). I imagine when he goes to heaven he would like to be able to see all of his old friends. I also attend St Lukes, but haven't figured out who you are yet.
