I was one of those bubble blowing chicks early on. Moved here from SF in 1993. Miss it. I was active in the Haight etc. before the summer of love and Woodstock. I was one of them that ...starting getting away once the world found us. But did not split like many.

hi, was just surfing "hippie stuff" and found this. kinda feeling homesick and confused as a former rainbow child and all around heathen I linked to the pics of this yrs gathering in my hometown of s.s.colorado and was kinda sad . I,m not really former I live in a pink and purple house that has no yd ,it is all gardens and have an extensive rock/blues collection and my d.d. sleeps with a dancing bear quilt(homeade). 12 yrs sobriety have just taken me farther than droppin/poppin/and smokin did. just a little homesick sometimes I miss the "horticulture" and "readin the pages" . true peace is attainable the brothers and the sisters of the world tend to be the nicest if nothing else.(less assholes) PEACE and feed a hungry person .Rick
