I was doing some research on Gerdes Folk City - trying to find out when it closed..I came upon your page with its photo...I played at Folk City in the early 80's - I think it closed a couple years later...I left NYC in '85 and didn't realize it was torn down. That's a cryin' shame - to tear down the Infamous Dive, I cry.
