It is tough to put into a quick, readable, understandable, paragraph how much Bob has really influenced my life as a poet, music fan, and historian. But here goes......it seems i have known dylan forever, my mother was a big music fan and he has always caught my attention, even back when it was all over my head, but lately (esp. the last 10 yrs) the farther i dive into his incredibly large body of work, it seems impossible that one man could do it by himself......no i dont think sir Bacon helped him, it is a compliment for Bob, it is a combination of two things i suppose; the songs they insist on playing on the radio - and then there are the rest......and the rest are, well like a timeline of his life that cannot be read, in a book, and for me the rest are like i had a brother over my shoulder documenting the past present and future. opinion time....no american artist can stand shoulder to shoulder with Bob Dylan.
