I visited Gerde's many times in the early sixties starting in '62; saw John Lee Hooker, Bruce Murdoch, Sonny & Brownie, The Kentucky Colonels, a group performing at the New York World's Fair and (can't remember their name) and others; I remember Max the 'topless waiter' because one night I spent all my $$ on manhattans and even my girl was out of money so Max gave me a little lesson to take along with my on the subway. Life has been pretty good ever since.

I lived in New York City 66 to 67. I frequented Gerde's Folk City on a regular basis, hung out in Washington Square Park with my guitar and was (and still am) an avid fan of Bob Dylan. I also made it to the first Woodstock, an event that has made me a bit famous here is Israel for having been there. So having this chance to see it all again and read all the inbetween things that happened over the years is very much welcomed.Thanks you for bringing this to all of us. Dian
