GFR are of the greatest hard rock bands of all time! They deserve to be inducted into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame for their contribution to rock-n-roll alongside Led Zeppelin. Grand Funk were one of my musical heroes back in the 70's. GFR is all about the music, the concerts & the fans! I think their version of " The Loco-Motion " has got to be one of the greatest covers from a hard rock band alongside " You Really Got Me " from Van Halen. The critics can dismiss GFR because they're idiots, the fans know what it's all about! Selling out faster than the Beatles at Shea Stadium is an acheivement in itself regardless if the critics don't get it.

Great site! GFR did a show in Amarillo (about an hours drive from my house) and I could not get off work to go see them. I was sick about it and evidently I'll never see those 3 guys together again. I still listen to their stuff constantly.

I saw the new GFR up here in Traverse City and man what a show , such energy.I talked at length with the guys, a real group of great guys. I do owe Max an apology, Second Chance is a favorite of mine and even though I know 38 Special and Max recorded it I told him Axle Rose would miss him, I'm embarassed.
