I am a student of Shihan Amato (formerly of Miyama Ryu) in his New Jersey dojo, Bushido Ryu, that he opened after teaching in the Dominican Republic. I began with him and earned a judo shodan and Bushido Ryu ju-jutsu mokuroku. I have trained at the Miyama Ryu headquarters and attained a black belt there as well. I have trained with some amazing martial artists like Shinan Pereira, Shihan Amato, Shihan Estrella, and many other Miyama Ryu black belts. I have trained with many martial artists over the past 12 years. It's good to see that the art is still alive.
