Because I grew up in Union City, New Jersey, I regularly trained at East Tremont School of Self-Defense in the Bronx. In addition, I attended many school tournaments there and competed with his son, Anthony, and Ronnie Calderon, Mark Valcarcel, and Ricky Vidal, respectively.
