I'm still crying after reading about your cats. I've been there! It sounds as if I could have wrote your whole story. We chose our first 2 but all others have just shown up as hungry and cold strays. At the momemt we have 4 indoor cats and a stray that comes for food each day now for 2 years. But I've never been able to touch this poor little kitty. The stray before this wild one we called Guy. He came for food and conversation but not to live in the house.
For several days he didn't show up and I found a badly mangled cat hit by a car down the road. Thinking it was guy I cried the whole time I buryied this poor cat. Only to find Guy back on my porch that evening waiting for his dinner. Summer came and Guy did disappear. I have a grave for the unknown cat. And a cat burial ground in my flowers with 3 cement cat statues to honor my other 3 cats that came to be loved and give love. I miss them all so much. Our grandchildren call us Grandma and Grandpa Kitty

We have eleven cats and two dogs (who are convinced that they might be cats). All of them have been rescued for medical reasons and saved from certain euthanasia. We have stories galore if you are interested, let us know.
