I'm impressed! Not too shabby for a small town! Personally, though, I would appreciate a posting of local school closings, or at least a legitimage link to the school system's site. Thanks for taking the time to create this website, and I think you've done a great job.

I visit this site once in awhile, as I use to be very close to a person who lives around Bakersville (Greenmountain). I'm hoping one day to hear from him or one of his relatives. He (R.O.) needs to brought up to date on what's going on in his sons' life since he has not seen or contacted him in 21 years. You're a grandfather (twice). Oh and by the way Happy Birthday. We always remember January 17th.

I found your site while researching
my family history. David Baker, Sr.,
whose tombstone you show on your
history page is one of my ancestors.
It was great to be able to learn a little
more about the town from your site.
Keep up the great work and hello to
all of my cousins!

I found your site when looking for info about North Carolina. Very nice and informative. I have added a link on my site to it, so everybody can enjoy it. I hope adding this link isn't a problem. If so, just let me know, and i will remove it from my site.
