I am looking researching the Buchanan family of Bakersville, Mitchell CO. I belive this includes Alfred A. Buchanan, b. 29 May 1864; William A. Buchanan; Joseph Buchanan, b. 1814; and Arthur Buchanan, b. 1776. William A. Buchanan marrried Nancy Deweese. Any information and/or direction will be appreciated. Thank you.

1961 BHS Graduate. I married Nell Lowery from Grassy Creek.We have two children Lisa, and Mark.( deceased), and two Grand children,Mavrick, and Shelby. I was born, and lived @ Reblel's Creek, I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at 12. Retired from Duke Power 1997, enjoy my grand children, and still continue to do missions, and I do love singing Gospel Music. My Parents were Taft Burnett,from Little Switzerland, and June Jarrett Burnett, from Rebel's Creek.A younger brother David living in High Point, My Sisters Linda Hughes living in Forest City, and Rosalie Silver from Bakersville. Nell, and I are probably related to most of the orginal settlers from this area., and our desire will always be to come home, but probably will stay in SC. Most of the teachers I had in school aren't alive now, but if they were, I would want them to know how much they have meant to me, amd for the direction they gave,primarly the moral teaching given, which got me through some pretty rough times.
