Coming from a family that has been foster parents for many years and now working in the social work field I am able to see different sides of situations. I agree that foster parents are treated like criminals before proven guilty and it is very sad.

My husband and I were thinking about becoming foster parents with Bellefaire JCB! Thank you so much for saving us from something that may have been the biggest mistake of our lives! We don't want to be apart of an agency who doesn't support their foster parents.

I was also falsely accused by a teenager but the local police and my agency backed me up. The CPS investigation proved my innocence. It can happen to any of us.

Another few comments.... It should be "Innocent until proven guilty"! What ever happened to that? If the allegations were substantiated...then Guilty...If they can't be substanciated...then just like a hung jury...it should be droped!! Why is is that "TRUE" criminals can "get off" by technicalities while wonderful, loving people like yourselves are tormented due to allegations that can't be substantiated.... It might be somewhat different if the other children in your home were too young to speak on your behalf, but your son and daughter are old enough that what they told the Detectives should have been worthy of "countering" the allegations of a female with documented Mental problems such as hers! The more I think about this, the madder I get.... I am so afraid to become a Foster Parent now....Who needs to add such a strain to their lives.... Is it any better if you take in younger children?...Are the older children just soooo "messed up" that we put ourselves at too great a risk?.... for heart break, attorney fees, strain on spousal relations......It is a good thing that you have had a LONG and successful marriage to help support your faith and trust in one another! I am so so very sorry for your suffering! I was also pleased to read the entry from Amanda (I assume your daughter)...when she thanked you for continuing to fight for them....That says it all!!! YOU ARE LOVED!!!
