My heart goes out to you all, it is so sad when an angry child can cause so much pain. We have a 9 yr old who is very capable of this. He physically attacked me at a store recently, when security spoke with him & told him hhe could be taken away from us & place where people didn't care about hhim, the child's answer was "I have already been there", I told security thhat was why he was removed from his mother & placed withh us. It is a shame what these babies go through in thier shhort lives. Good Luck with your cause.

Hi, I read your story and I am sitting here dumbfounded and horrified. I am an adoptive parent, a foster parent, and a CASA volunteer. I have one question. Was a CASA ever assigned to your case? If so, maybe NONE of this would have gone this far. I don't know if you are familiar with CASA(Court Appointed Special Advocate) This is a child's voice in court. But also if the findings are unfounded then it is spoken of in court. I am so sorry for your ordeal and my prayers are with you. Maybe someday this girl will realize how many people she hurt. Keep your head up, my friend. God knows the good that you do.

What a horrible story, but I know it happens. Keep up the fight. There is talk in MN about foster parents having a different set of investigation standards, since we have been investigated THOROUGHLY before getting kids in our homes.

I am so very sorry this has happen to you, this is why we as foster parents should unite and be strong, stick together and help fight for what is so wrong in the foster care system. As you said it is spoken of very little at the initial FP training, now you know why. Agencies should be more closely monitored and stop withholding information as well as "losing" information that shows the agency is not performing a good job. We as foster parents need to let the media and legislators know mmmmore of the horror stories. I relly hurt for you as I have had to retain a lawyer to fight for a little boy, I won my case, but there are so many of us that do not know how to fight back or arre afraid to fight back. Thanks for sending your story. This is quie a common scenario and one which has caused many people much distress. I certainly think that agencies need to approach al of these kinds of allegations with much caution.
