I am on the foster parent listserv and saw your web page address and thought I would check it out. It is so horrendous what has happened to you. We have a 9 yr old fson, whose 13 yr old sister is in another fhome. The girl you described sounds so much like our fson's sister, it is unreal. Even her diagnosis and the fact that she accuses all males of sexual misconduct. There have been allegations that she molested our fson when they lived with their dad and step-mom. Therefore, she will never live in our home. We have a 9 yr old bio son and I refuse to put him at risk like that. I really don't know what to say except that I will tell everyone I know that has the internet to find your page and read your story. There has got to be more awareness. I know that there are bad fparents out there, but there are also plenty of fkids that do what your fdaughter did. I am so sorry for your family. We want to ask how could this happen but realize that this is a dumb question, considering that it DID!!!Any person of normal intelligence can read this story and see all the inaccuracies and know that this child needs help and so does your family. My husband & I are looking into becoming foster parents. This might be enough to scare us away. With so many children needing a good home, even if only temporarily, you would think they would have established a better process for dealing with these kinds of accusations. I know what your going through after 22 years of careing for children a doctor accused us of not doing the job right,and we were told they wouldn't place any more with us. It's really hard to believe the agency doesn't try to help you. I hope every thing works out for you and your family.
