There is a need for a Foster Parent coalition to hear and resolve false allegations and flase non-compliance closure of foster parents home for foster care.

No one knows what to do with this problem. The children are moved like checkers. The foster parents are at very high risk. It is the counties responsibility to be accountable when these children repeatedly yell "sexual abuse".

Linda, I just read your story and I am sorry that you and your family has to go thur this. This is a sad fact about foster care but think about the help you did give I have had some things told on me but nothing like this and it is sad that a child has that much controll over a family. Just hang in there will pray for your family

Things need to change we are the care givers and love our kids. We need to find a way to change the way this is looked at, here it's done by police.

After reading these stories I wonder if I even want to do this. I just found out that I can't get my liscense here in Wa because of a simple misdemeaner assult conviction many years ago. Anyone know of a site that lists the criminal background requirements state by state?

When I started doing foster care 14 years ago I thought I had found my lifes work. I was never happier taking care of the newbornes in my care, no matter how damaged by drugs,diet,acoloh,or who knows what else. I found great happiness watching them become happy little childen and go either into an adoptive home or back with parents that had made a mistake but had taken thier own lives in control again. However after all these years, suddenly a new person within the agency has decided that I have not done everything I should have and I am not fit any longer. The allegations made are so silly, as a baby in a diaper that was to large. Some how this woman has managed to get liscensing to listen to her allegations and I have lost the children that I loved and one in particular we were going to adopt. I UNDERSTAND ALL THAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH MY MOTHER WAS A FOSTER PARENT FOR NEWPORT NEWS FOR 17 YEARS. HER CASE WAS UNFOUNDED AND THEY STILL CLOSED HER HOME.SAYING SHE WAS IN VIOLATION OF A CODE FROM A POLICY AND PROCEDURES MANUAL THAT SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW EXISTED THEY TOOK THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD SHE HAD AND WANTED TO ADOPT AFTER 4YEARS OF BEING IN HER HOME THIS CHILD WAS ONLY 5. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO FIND A LAWYER TO EVEN SO MUCH AS TO REPRESENT HER IN HER APPEAL. HER RIGHTS TO REVIEW HER RECORDS HAVE BEEN DENIED.RECORDS HAVE BEEN FALSIFIED.THE CITY DIRECTOR OF DSS WON'T LISTEN TO HER. THE MAYOR SENT HER A LETTER SAYING THAT THE AGENCY WAS WITHIN IT'S LEGAL RIGHTS AND WOULD NOT GIVE HER AN APPOINTMENT TO SPEAK WITH HIM,AND THE CONGRESSMANS OFFICE SENT HER A LETTER SAYING IT WAS A CIVIL MATTER AND SHE NEEDED TO GO TO THE BAR ASSOCIATION. WE HAVEN'T GIVEN UP AND READING STORIES LIKE YOURS GIVES US THE STRENGTH TO GO ON. DON'T GIVE UP THEY ALWAYS SAY YOUR STRONGER IN NUMBERS AND THE MORE PEOPLE THAT KNOW THE BETTER THE CHANCE TO MAKE A CHANGE.
