I have a PTSD claim with the VA since March 2000. Last month the woman in the VA told me that the army send in the stressor (sp?) Come to find out that woman lied and September 2001 was the first time that the VA asked for the stressor from the army. My power of attorney said that my claim can take another two to three years. I can not get any treatment for it at my local VA, cuz I have not been rated on it. I was diagnosed with it in March of 2000, but the VA just don't want to rate me.( I witnessed a buddy get killed ) Is it true about the two to three years?! And will I get a back pay? What should I do?
