Hello Dolton, just to say, I used to live here 5 years ago, and I found the people very friendly, a super place to learn the dialect of mid Devon. Be careful of them ther nizzledraffs bay!

Greetings! My grandfather Arthur Smythies lived in Dolton from around 1900 to 1935 after his retirement from the Indian Forest Service. He owned Hilliers where I spent many happy times in my childhood. His gardener was called Cudmore and the doctor was Dr. Lusk. My grandparents are buried in Dolton Churchyard. I last visited Dolton in 1959. My cousins the Dawkins family also have contacts with Dolton. I would welcome contacts with Dolton today. sincerely john smythies M.D. F.R.C.P.

i used to live in dolton down stafford way nearly a year ago, looking at the site brought back all the memorys of being a dolton teenager stick on some more pictures of anything new in the village.
