Hi! I have been following your Sisterlocks journey from the very beginning. This is my first time back in over two years. I am AMAZED by how long your hair has grown, and by the sheer BEAUTY of your locks. Thank you for sharing and for inspiring me to go natural. I love our hair and now I can wear it complete freedom. :)

I reviewed your entire site and I am very impressed with your photo's and commentary about your journey with Sisterlocks.
I will be getting my Sisterlocks done today. I am so excited about it it is unreal.
I have to say that my hair journey has been just that, but the chains have been broken! Black women have to learn how to accept their hair and themselves for who they were born to be; we will never be white no matter how much "Creamy Crack" we put in our hair.
Peace Be Unto You Sister Sandy,
Sister Farren aka Cooki

Hi. I am so inspired after reading your blog. I had my hair locked a few months ago, and was despairing that it would ever look good. After seeing your pics, and how long your hair grew in 5 years, I am so hopeful that my hair will look good soon. I am still going through an "ugly" stage, but it will be fine. Thank you for inspiring me.

Hi, Sandy...
Long time so see...er, ah, talk/read I mean. LOL
I just wanted to say how wonderful your Sistelocks
look! You are awesome! I haven't been on the site
for a few years... long story short: I had a medical
emergency in 2004 that left me in the hospital for 4
months and off work for 5 months after I got home.
My sisterlocks held up great while I was in my
drug-induced coma for those months, but after I
healed they suffered. I cut them off and wore a wig
until my hair was long enough to braid. Then, I had
hernia surgery last October and my hair broke off...
so I'm going to cut it off again and start over. This
time, once I get one-and-a-half inches of new hair,
I'm getting my Sisterlocks again. Anyway, I didn't
want to say all that on the LockItUp group, but I
wanted you to know why I haven't been there for a
long time. This time I have a digital camera and
will document my locks from the beginning. I'm
glad to see the LockItUp group is still going strong
and you have lots of information for everyone.
Your website and pictures are so helpful and give
me hope that mine will grow strong and stay put
this time around.

I am 19 years old, and I am thinking about getting
sisterlocks. I know that they are permanent but I
don't care, to never pick up a comb again! wow!
now that your hair is longer, how often do you get
it retightened? your hair is so beautiful! I hope
mine comes out like yours did.... my appointment is
next year on my birthday! wish me luck!

I am just starting my self-LOVE experience. So far I have read from beginning to end:
(1) Creyole's Sisterlock Exodus
(2) Praline's Passage
(3) Mrs Dee Locked and Lovin It
(4) BlaqKofi--Sisterlocks-Natural Awakenings
(5) Stella's Hair Etc.
I am anxious to read your journey. BlaqKofi, makes many references to you. She has her hair done by the same consultant I have an appointment with on March 16, 2007. I am so very, Very, VERY excited about Sisterlocks™.
I thank God for you and I thank you for allowing God to use you to share with us beautiful ladies who are on our wy to becoming "Phenomenal Women" of Sisterlocks™
