Hello there,
I have been searching the web tonight and found your page. I have to say I have been at the computer now for over 2 hours going through your journey and enjoyed every minute.
I am an American expat living in Britain and to say in my area of Britain African Americans/Black people are not very plentiful and a hairdresser is as rare as hen's teeth. I have been doing my hair for the 11 years that I have been here with the exception of a few episodes of braiding. I found a shop in Bristol some 200+ miles away but I don't want to have to go there for the rest of my life.
I like what I have learned about SisterLocks but must now see if I can find someone not too terribly far away from me to see if I can too become a DIVA! As they say You Go Girl and thanks very much for sharing your story and don't stop posting those pictures and letting us un-Naturals know how it feels to be on the other side. It will give us something to aspire too.
Thanks for sharing that with us.
Carol

Thank you so much for having this site. I am in the process of growing my hair a few more inches before I start my Sisterlocks. Looking for someone in Bmore to do them. Your hair is gorgeus!!!

Thank you for sharing your story and hair care regimen. I have had sisterlocks for 4 1/2 years also and have lots of "burned bald spots" as well. I am using "DoGro" products. Not sure if its going to help. What do you think?

Your sisterlocks are beautiful! I'm researching and trying to find out everything I possibly can. I had my 1st consultation 2 days ago but the consultant is a trainee and I'm concerned about a lack of experience. I have another consultation scheduled for this week with someone who claims to be the fastest sister locker in the area but she doesn't appear to be registered on the sister locks website. I'm anxious about the whole process and I really appreciate you sharing your experience and photos.
Peace and Blessings, Estella

I ran across your site today. I was totally facinated. It took me about 3 hours (with breaks) to finish. I got my locks almost 2 weeks ago and so far I am really enjoying them. Your site is so inspiring especially for someone just starting and also for those sisters and brothers who are apprehensive to lock. You kept me interested with your wit but foremost the information is so practical. I am looking forward to my own journey. Thanks.

Sista! Your hair is fabulous!!! I just started my loc journey today and I am so excited. They are not sisterlocks. I just braided my hair in individuals all over and I am gonna let it go and go it's thang. I hope it turns out nice. I am in it for the long haul now. I had to let you know how wonderful your hair looks. Sistas out there, SO NO TO THE CRACK CREME AND SAY YES TO YOUR TRU NATURAL BEAUTY!!!
Peace and blessings,
Shonda
