Sandy, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your wonderfully, encouraging and detailed journal. You also have a great sense of humor. You encouraged me NOT to relax my natural hair. It was tempting because when I blow dry it, it is past my shoulder blades. Thank you for reminding me how beautiful our hair really is. Now if I could find a Sisterlock consultant near my area, that would be great. The closest one is 2-3 hours away...but it might be worth it. Your site is an inspiration. I wore two strand twist for 10 years, growing my hair down to my waist, and feeling free and good about me, but I got tired of the work of retwisting every 3-4 weeks or so (for fear of my hair locking!) But now I am sick to death of the perm! With my 3 inches of new growth and after reading your testimony, I plan to schedule my first sisterlock consultation tomorrow!

Hi SANDY, yOUR sistelocks loooks gorgeous, how long was it before you embarked on this journey .My hair at present is going through some very harsh period and i am having to wear a wig ,but thanks be to God it is growing back .Any tips on how long it needs to be before i too can start this journey.
