I just wanted to comment that your hair is "fan-tab-u-lous". I loved following your journey and seeing how you have progressed through these years. I thank you for sharing this part of your life with us...gives me so much inspiration. I am getting my sisterlocks put in tommorrow, w/ 8-10 inches of natural hair. I can only hope my hair will look as gorgeous and full as your does in time! Thanks again.

I have read your site more than anyone elses and I do not think I have ever posted a thought. So this is my thought. I admire you and your hair is beautiful. I wish I could be as elequent as you and right my journey but I don't think it would do any justice. Keeping posting when you can, and thank you for the loc-it-up group.

I can't believe how long your hair is?? And this is acutally all of your hair!!! Wow. It has taken about one year for my relaxer to grow out of my hair. I was thinking about getting locks, (the big one), but I think that the sisterlocks are so beautiful. Your hair is so damn long. I was under the impression that Black women couldn't have long hair - that their hair could not grow pass their shoulders. But I see that this is not true and it is just like you stated, using all the relaxers does alot of damage to the scalp. And someone else just informed that relaxers can also damage the liver. You look amazing. I have a new found confidence.

Hi Sandy,
I really enjoyed reading your journey with sisterlocks. I processed my hair once in 1978 and never did again! Never liked the feel of my hair nor the enslavement...so I have been wearing my hair naturally ever since. I have been wearing sisterlocks for 2 years and 8 months but my hair go messed up so I have to cut it and change my consultant. Everything was a secret about the sisterlocks process but I am learning now.Things are mucch better now and ... for me the grooming does make a difference. I love and appreciate by natual hair and sisterlocks is a wonderful discovery.
