As a child of the 70's, I was a fan of game shows, still am, and probably always will be (blame it on one of my babysitters!). Of course, while I was growing up, I'd swear Bill Cullen was always hosting SOMETHING on TV, and with good reason. I always loved how he was very laid-back, always kind, genuinely liked people in general, and could be quite funny, and I remember some funny things he said that could generate quite a belly-laugh!
He also did an excellent job at hosting shows that were more closely associated with another host, such as hosting the nighttime Pyramid, filling in for Allen Ludden (another host I always admired) on Password Plus, and taking over the job of hosting the Joker's Wild after Jack Barry's death -- and he took very good care of all of those shows.
In fact, it's no wonder the producers of Who Wants to be a Millionaire originally wanted him as host, not knowing that he's no longer with us. Had Bill lived long enough to be available to host WWTBAM, I think he woulda gotten a kick out of hosting that show.
He's one of my all-time favorite hosts, and he will be greatly missed.

Bill was always a favorite of mine. I enjoyed his self-deprecating wit, his down home style. My Dad claimed to have known him as a teen, but I don't know if that's true or not. Bill was a brain, and he knew how to make folks feel comfortable; I miss him.

Who remembers the game, GUS GLITZ AS MR. GAME SHOW [GAMESHOW], manufactured for Galoob, 1987? It is an electronic hand held interactive family game. I want its cassette tape called "Trivia Tracks" or a copy, the styrofoam, and other inner wrappings/packaging. What
do you suggest for finding the parts?
Thanks. vintage_design2000@yahoo.com

i've been watching game shows since the 70's. i've seen them all from barker, eubanks, the winker & many others, but william lawrence cullen was clearly the
best at his craft. not only was he a wonderful host, but a true calss act w/no ego. i especially remember when he & his wife ann were on bert convy's tattletales. they were such a nice couple. even though bill's been gone for
over 14 years (he passed away on my 25th
birthday sadly) his legacy will live on
forever. thank to bill, i've tried to be
as personable & friendly as i can possibly be (being voted friendliest in my hs class of 1983 at cornwall central)
bill may yo continue to r.i.p. & ann if
you're out there the best of health & god bless). your husband was an absolute
jewel.
