Favorite Bill Cullen Show: I've Got A Secret

Comments:
I grew up with an interest of radio & TV right from the begining. I was always facinated with broadcasting. One of my favorite shows as a child was I've Got A Secret. I thought Bill Cullen seemed like a very funny and nice man. In the early 70's I went to New York City for the first time and took the NBC tour. Bill Cullen was hosting Monitor that day. We waved at him thru the glass and he actually came out of the studio and said hello to us. What a thrill! He must of made a big impression on me. I am now in my 30th year of working in the radio & TV business.

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: $25,000 Pyramid(as host)

Comments:
Great shot of Bill at the winner's circle on his version of the Pyramid for photo of the month.I've always enjoyed Bill on my TV screen on whatever show(s)he was on then and now, thanks to Game Show Network,I still enjoy it on GSN's Blockbusters reruns at 10am.This is the greatest homepage ever dedicated to a game show host and all the pictures of Bill on it are terrific as well as pictures of him on other sites.I know that Bill's legacy, the mark he left in the game show world and my memories of him will last forever.

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: I've got a secret

Comments:
I grew up watching Mr. Cullen host many shows (during the 70s), but wasn't a fan until I started watching LATE NITE BLACK AND WHITE on the game show network. It didn't take long for Bill Cullen to begin to stand out from the others. He was just so funny and smart. I was sad to hear that he has left us. Now I wish I could see all those shows that I grew up watching.

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: I've Got A Secret

Comments:
My mother used to tell me about how I would watch TV from my crib at the ripe old age of 18 months. I would be standing up, holding the railing and watching the set in the living room(real convenient!). I would watch shows like "I've Got A Secret" and, she discovered, that habit of watching even as an infant shaped my personality and taught me how to communicate. I am grateful to Bill Cullen and all those other folks in that little box with the big screen for teaching me how to speak. Needless to say, I have loved game shows for most of my life.

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: to tell the truth

Comments:
I added this show as a favorite because I loved the whole feel of that 1970's version. From Gary Moore sneaking a puff from his off camera cigarette, to Kitty's evening gowns, to Peggy's latest Broadway show, to Bill's sheer joy of the work, this remains a favorite of mine. A touching episode was the Gary Moore farewell. In the second half of the game, Gary explained why he was retiring, then turned to the panel for their reflections. Bill said his work on TTTT was the most satisfying because he needed no preparation for it. He could just show up and be himself. A great man.
