We watch the BlockBuster game show as often as we can and started wondering if Bill was still living. Found a Home page for him and until we read it did not know that he passed away in July of 1990. We still enjoy his shows, I guess it's because we grew up with him on game shows for the early day's in the 50's. Watching him, you can see just how good he was and even a better Man. Dave and Quitsey......

The Game Show Network has been a great source for rediscovering old favorites and discovering game shows that seemed to have slipped my attention when they were first run years and years ago. One example of the former is To Tell The Truth. Bill was certainly in his element and his prime as a quick-witted, intelligent and probing panelist. An example of the latter is Blockbusters with its fast-paced, fun-to-play-along-with format. I have to admit, though, that sometimes the pace and/or excitement seemed a bit much for Bill. The show a couple weeks ago where he blurted out the answer before the contestant could was priceless!

For the record, the person claiming to be "Lin Bolen" on this page is responding not to something on my own homepage, but to an earlier guestbook entry written by someone else, which you can read on page eight of this part of the site. I say nothing unkind -- in fact, nothing at all -- about Bolen on the main site.

I left NBC a #1 schedule & have all the Neilson records to prove it. How can you put so many untrue accusations on your WEB page. I loved and respected Bill Cullen. So what if I wanted my hosts to dress in "hipper" clothes -- it was my job to attract young women to our schedule -- when I arrived, the female viewers at NBC were 50 and over...when I left, we dominated in young women...you apparently haven't done your homework.
