Favorite Bill Cullen Show: T4

Comments:
I have many Bill favorites, but I have been watching a lot of the T4 episodes from the late 60's and 70's. I believe Bill was at his best here; more personality came out in his role as panelist. I just finished the show that became Gary Moore's farewell. Gary asked each panelist for a particular reflection on the series and Bill told the audience he enjoyed the show because, unlike any other show he was involved in, this required no preparation. We saw the genuine Bill in all his appearances.

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: I've Got A Secret

Comments:
I went on the 450-mile yardsale this year and found a treasure: A large black mug with a picture/drawing of Bill Cullen on one side, & "The Price Is Right!" on the other. It's one of those they gave to the studio audience, I'm told. I'd be glad to scan it in & post if there's a place you can use the picture.

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: i've got a secret

Comments:
I respect this man's talents so much and is intellect...the whole package. He was one of a kind. "I've Got a Secret" gave him a chance to really be himself and show is quick wit and overall intelligence. I have also heard that he was a very wonderful person.

As a big-time Captain Kangaroo fan in the 1970s, let me fill in about Bill Cullen's visit to the captain. The puppet character Bunny Rabbit (who liked to snatch the Captain's carrots from him) was a contestant on Bill's make-believe game show, "The Baking Game". The only details I can recall were Bunny's baked goods were carrot cookies, and then later, Bill himself dropped by the Captain's place and I don't recall what was said there, or whether or not Bunny Rabbit won that game for I was only aroung 5 or 6 years old. But it was a very cute moment, as was the "Captain Kangaroo" show itself:-)

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: $25,000 Pyramid

Comments:
July 7th of this year marks the 12th anniversary of Bill's passing and even now I have nothing but fond and vivid memories of him not only on the shows he hosted but also the ones on which he was a celebrity guest. On the hosting side my favorite Bill Cullen show was his version of the Pyramid, but as a guest my favorite appearance of his was on Card Sharks with Jim Perry for the Game Show Emcee Tournament and last but not least Kudos to Matt Ottinger. You couldn't've chosen a better host for his own homepage.

Favorite Bill Cullen Show: Child's Play

Comments:
I remember hearing Bill talk about how he loved hosting this show because it let him get around children, since he never had any, and I thought that was one of the best reasons ever to do a show. You never saw him anything less than professional. I might add to his list of hobbies one that is dear to my household's heart, the construction of crossword puzzles...no wonder he hosted so many word games. :-)
