I never met Bill cullen, but the man had a great personality! If only I could see an episode of "EYE GUESS" again, what a thrill! After all these years, I still remember the sound effect when the "STOP" card was reveild.

I had the great pleasure of being a contestant on the $25,000 Pyramid back in 1977. It was the nighttime version when Bill Cullen was the host. He was a gentleman, through and through and I'll never forget that day!! It was just at the beginning of VCR's and I didn't have one at the time, so I do not have a tape of this show. If anyone knows how I might go about getting one, I'd LOVE to hear from you! (Yes... I won!!!)

Never had the pleasure of meeting this game show legend (and fellow Pittsburgher) in person, but he always was (and still is through GSN) a regular household presence. He could easily become anybody's best friend with his egoless humor and outgoing personality. Mr. Cullen, you and your legacy will live forever for future generations to enjoy!

| Favorite Bill Cullen Show: 3 on a Match |
Comments:
Why do most of today's hosts cite Bill as their inspiration? He defined the era of hosts who were respectful, in control, and thoughtful. I enjoyed 3 on a Match because of Bill's rapping on the category board waiting for a response from the person behind the board. I also liked how, on Eye Guess, he would occasionally give a bonus round player an extra call from the board or give away an extra prize. Anyone ever hear from Bob Stewart?

I can also remember seeing Eye Guess one morning when I was on vacation and about 10 years old. Today is Mr. Cullen's birthday and I wish him a very happy one up in heaven!

First off,the previous entry was a mistake for which I apologize(putting 4 under favorite show).Second,to answer Jane's question,Bill had polio which left him with a limp which might explain why he doesn't move about. With February 18th(Bill's Birthday)right around the corner,I'm hoping Game Show Network will air a marathon of Bill's shows on 2/18/02.Bill is the best there is,the best there was,and the best there ever will be.

These shows are the best. A time gone by in an age of innocense. Because the show was live, whatever happened you saw. The audience response is proof of that. Bill's wit and intellegence can be seen in each episode of "Secret". There will never be TV like this again.
