Ten years ago today, Mr. Cullen left us at the age of 70 and I was sad for days. Game shows have always been such a favorite part of my life and Bill Cullen was far and away the ultimate host and game player. What I miss most is his great self-depricating wit and hearty laugh. Although I remember Bill from as far back as the original "Price is Right," when I watch reruns of "Blockbusters" on GSN, I truly feel he was having the time of his life hosting that exceptional game. I'll never forget how much he laughed when he responded "Charlton Heston" to his partner's clue "He betrayed Jesus Christ" on "Pyramid." From being a panelist on "TTTT" to gracefully subbing for Allen Ludden on "Password Plus," Bill will always hold a warm, happy place in my heart. I know many others feel the same. Thank you for this excellent site and tribute to a truly underappreciated performer.

Bill was a great host of many TV game shows. Blockbusters was a great game where players had to pick a letter and jump in first with the right answer and continue on. I only started watching Hot Potato recently and it is interesting.

Sadly, I lost a BC-autographed picture I was sent in the Eye Guess era (I was sick, and passed time writing fan letters; Bill and Tom Kennedy were the only ones to respond with pics.) Unlike today's shows, Bill's were "always just a game" and fun to watch. Nice job on the page, Matt!

I like your page. I am a fan of the "vintage" game shows. I think that tv personalities from the 70's and back (as a group) had more depth and talent than those you see on tv today. I appreciate how intelligence and personality mattered more than looks. I like how performers from the movies and Broadway would appear on the game shows, and it was a totally accepted thing to do. Ah, the good ol'days, and Cullen was one of the best! Keep up the good work!

Ah, the master of masters of ceremonies with the Coke-bottle glasses. I think the best example of the legacy of Bill Cullen's career would be when he appeared with Bob Eubanks on Family Feud and Eubanks said, "There are few people lucky enough to say they're working with one of their heroes. I'm one of the lucky ones." This is a four star page, and the best imaginable tribute to a guy that really deserves one.

Without a doubt, Bill Cullen is my all-time favorite game show host. A very competent host who gave it everything he had into every show he was a part of, but more importantly a classy gentleman who is dearly missed. Thanks.
