It is unfortunate that many of the 'old ways' have been lost to modern society, especially in the area of 'medicinal plants'. There are many wonderous 'medicines' that have been lost to "just take this pill and see me again next week"!(every doctor's answer to what ails us) All the best to you in researching the ways of your Abenaki heritage, so that future generations can benefit from the 'old ways'.
