I found an article on Bay Area.com (dated 5/8/02). 31 people at that station got their termination notices. Apparantly, they state that ratings were down and that they wanted to reach an audience that consist of males between 35 and 54. I'm 41 and prefer the previous format. I was just starting to enjoy the Gene and Julie Morning Show instead of The Dog House (Wild 949.9)....Now where do I go???? :-(

What Happened? I really miss Gene and Julie they were making such a positive impact on the Bay Area. The music on the Z was great. It was one of the few stations I allowed my little girls to listen to.

What happened to Gene and Julie in the mornings on z95.7? My daughter and I just turned on the radio, like every morning on the way to school and work, and they were gone! Not Good! lol

I started listening to z95.7 cause they played backstreetboys and nsync which is my kids Brittany,Rachael,Dustin,& Alan Frakes and my songs. so when I start to get lonely or sad I can be close to my kids and the other way around. Cause their dad and I seperated in '96'. so thanks for being there keep up the good dJing, and work we love you and those who have lost their lives in the war. Thank you love your fan sally M. Frakes
